Dealer-Ready Datasets with Every Parameter That Matters
Daily monitoring of car listings on car.gr and autoscout24.com, collecting full technical specifications to support a European auto dealer.
Learn MoreYou describe the slice you need - specific makes and models, a set of ZIP codes and radii, a price or mileage band, dealer inventories, or the whole category. We build the crawler, map every field to your column names, and take care of pagination, retries, and request pacing so none of that lands on your side. Output arrives as CSV, Excel, or JSON, by email, cloud storage, or a direct push into your database. A run can be one-time, or scheduled daily, weekly, or monthly.
A standard extraction covers listing URL and VIN or stock number, year, make, model, and trim, body style, mileage, exterior and interior color, engine, transmission, drivetrain, fuel type, and MPG figures. On the commercial side we take asking price, estimated monthly payment, the deal badge shown on the card, new, used, or certified status, photo count, whether a free AutoCheck report is offered, feature and option lists, seller name and seller type, dealer address, phone, and distance from the searched ZIP code, plus the listing's rank in the result set that produced it.
The obvious fields are only part of what the site exposes. Dealer pages carry review counts and star ratings, individual review text and dates, named sales staff with their own ratings, and the size and mix of a store's live inventory - useful for scoring supplier quality, not just price. Certified pre-owned listings often name the manufacturer program behind the certification. Editorial reviews and award pages give a model-level quality signal independent of the classifieds. And because the deal badge and asking price both appear on every card, repeated runs against the same VINs let you reconstruct price-change history and time-on-site yourself, which no single page will tell you.
Cars.com started in 1998 as a joint venture inside Classified Ventures, a consortium of newspaper publishers. It became an independent public company in 2017 and trades on the NYSE under the ticker CARS. The marketplace is the consumer-facing front of Cars Commerce, a Chicago-based automotive technology group whose portfolio also includes Dealer Inspire, DealerRater, AccuTrade, and DealerClub.
The company reports about 26.6 million average monthly unique visitors to the marketplace. Inventory is split into clearly separated tracks: new cars, used cars, certified pre-owned, and a dedicated Cars for Sale by Owner section for private sellers. Dealer listings can carry up to 99 photos, 360-degree spin, and AI-generated listing summaries.
Search runs on make, model, body style (sedan, convertible, coupe, hatchback, minivan, cargo van, passenger van, SUV, truck, wagon), price band, fuel type including electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid, and distance from a ZIP code in steps from 10 up to 500 miles, with an advanced search on top of the standard filters.
Two things make the site unusually rich for analysis. Listings carry color-coded deal badges - Great Deal, Good Deal, Fair Deal, High Price - calculated from price, mileage, features, and regional market conditions, and many carry a free AutoCheck vehicle history report from Experian. Dealer and salesperson reviews, which are required to reflect a real experience from the past 12 months, editorial vehicle reviews, and the long-running American-Made Index sit alongside the inventory. The site also runs Instant Offer, powered by Accu-Trade, which the company describes as tapping a network of nearly 20,000 dealers.

Dealer groups use Cars.com data to see what comparable stock nearby stores are asking, which trims move and which sit, and how their own units are badged against the market. OEM and captive-finance teams read regional supply and pricing for specific model years. Wholesalers and remarketers size retail spreads before bidding. Lenders and insurers need retail asking prices by VIN configuration. Automotive software vendors and researchers pull it as a US-market reference layer. Reading a few hundred pages by hand is possible; tracking tens of thousands of listings week after week is not.

Learn MoreLearn how to use web scraping to solve data problems for your organization
Leveraging advances in technology, the AI-powered web scraper has skyrocketed in demand and is helping to expand capabilities by automating tedious daily tasks and speeding up data collection from thousands of websites several times over.
Web scraping is a method of obtaining web data by extracting it from pages of web resources with the help of a program, that is, in automatic mode. It is used to syntactically convert web pages into more usable forms.
If you specialize in machine learning, you need to feed large amounts of data to the algorithms. Web scraping is the easiest and the most efficient method of collecting the data from all over the Internet.
ScrapeIt is a custom web scraping agency. We write the scraper for Cars.com's actual page structure rather than handing you a generic tool to configure, and we keep it running when the site changes its markup. You get a working data feed in the shape your analysts already use, with a named team to talk to. If you want to see the output before committing, a paid sample of real data costs 9.99 EUR.
Vehicle listings with specs, mileage, price, deal badge, photos, and features, plus seller and dealer details, dealer review ratings and text, certified pre-owned program data, and any filtered search result set you define.
Yes. Collection can run once, or on a schedule - daily, weekly, or monthly. Daily runs suit pricing work, since asking prices and inventory on the marketplace change constantly.
CSV, Excel, or JSON, with the column names and structure you specify. Files can be emailed, dropped into your cloud storage, or loaded straight into your database or BI tool.
Plans start at 169 EUR per month with a limit from 100,000 rows monthly, and the listed tiers run up to 549 EUR. Larger volumes are quoted individually. A data sample costs 9.99 EUR.
Large marketplaces limit automated access, and Cars.com is no exception. Keeping collection stable and polite within those limits is part of what we build and maintain, so it stays our task rather than yours. Support replies within 48-72 hours.
