You tell us what you need from Mercadona - the whole catalogue or chosen aisles such as Bodega or Fruta y verdura, which postcodes, which shop language, how often. We build the crawler, run it and repair it when the shop changes. The shop at tienda.mercadona.es is a script-rendered application that asks for a postcode before it shows a zone's assortment, so rendering, pacing, proxy rotation and CAPTCHA handling are part of the service, not something you arrange.
Every row carries its postcode zone and collection time. Files arrive as CSV, XLSX, JSON or JSONLines by e-mail, SFTP or Amazon S3, or are loaded into your database; runs are one-off or daily, weekly or on demand, and the field documentation comes with the first delivery.
A Mercadona product card is short, and most of its meaning sits in the line under the name. "Garrafa 5 L", "6 latas x 80 g (60 g escurrido)", "Pieza 160 g aprox." and "Granel 200 g aprox." are four different ways of selling, so we split that line into columns instead of leaving it as text. The fields:
One row is one product in one postcode zone at one moment, so the same product id can be compared across zones, across runs and across shop languages.
A single pass gives you a price list. The value of Mercadona data grows with every repeat and every extra zone.
Mercadona is a Spanish family supermarket company, created in 1977 within the Cárnicas Roig group, with stores across Spain and in Portugal. Its current online ordering service started in Valencia in 2018, together with the company's first warehouse built only for online orders, and the shop now lives at tienda.mercadona.es.
Pricing follows the company's Siempre Precios Bajos (Always Low Prices) model, rolled out in 1993, and Mercadona states that online prices are the same as in its physical supermarkets. For a buyer of data that matters: the web shop is a direct read of the shelf, not a separate online price list.
The catalogue is a three-level tree. The sidebar lists 26 categories, from Aceite, especias y salsas to Zumos; each opens into subcategories, and each subcategory into headed sections. Own brands sit next to manufacturer brands throughout - Hacendado in food, Deliplus in cosmetics, Bosque Verde in household cleaning, Compy in pet food, all four launched in 1996. The shop interface comes in Spanish, Valencian, Catalan, English and Basque; Catalan and English also translate the product names, and the product id stays the same in every language.

Learn MoreLearn how to use web scraping to solve data problems for your organization
If you sell online, run a marketplace, or advise e-commerce clients, you already know why eBay matters: it’s one of the few places where big retailers compete side by side with thousands of small merchants and private sellers.
E-commerce teams do not just need “some” competitor data anymore. They need a continuous stream of real prices, discounts, stock levels, reviews, and seller behavior from the platforms that actually shape their markets.
Amazon provides valuable information gathered in one place: products, reviews, ratings, exclusive offers, news, etc. So scraping data from Amazon will help solve the problems of the time-consuming process of extracting data from e-commerce.
ScrapeIt is a managed web scraping service: we build, run and maintain the crawlers, and you receive the dataset with documentation of every field. Supermarket catalogues put that model to work: long product lists, prices quoted per unit, per pack or per weight, and assortments that shift with the delivery zone. For Mercadona we begin with a free project assessment, agree postcodes and aisles, and send a sample before any schedule starts. We never log in and never go behind a paywall.
Yes. The ScrapeIt Mercadona API returns product id, display name, packaging and size, current price with its unit, previous price and the category path as JSON from an endpoint we host, refreshed on the schedule you set. The same rows also come as CSV or XLSX files, a JSON feed or a load into your database.
Yes. The catalogue, formats and prices on tienda.mercadona.es are shown to any visitor who types in a postcode, with no account involved. We collect only publicly available data - everything a visitor can see on Mercadona - and we collect it legally.
When a price drops, the card shows the old figure struck through as "Precio anterior" beside the new one, and the home page gathers such products under Bajadas de precio. A weekly run is enough to follow a basket of packaged goods, while fresh produce sold per piece at an approximate weight is worth collecting daily.
Yes. The shop asks for a postcode to show the assortment available in that zone, and its help pages note that availability limits fresh products and lines sold only locally. We run each postcode you name and add a zone column, so one product id can be compared side by side across Spain.
Yes. On Mercadona the brand is part of the product name, as in "Aceite de oliva 0,4º Hacendado", and we parse it into its own column with an own-brand flag for Hacendado, Deliplus, Bosque Verde and Compy. Private-label share by aisle then becomes a filter in your spreadsheet.
Step 1 - Make a Request
You share your needs, expectations, and desired timeframe. We’ll suggest the best solution based on your request and budget.
Step 2 - Configuring Custom Web Crawlers
Our specialists configure the crawlers and extract a sample dataset for your review before proceeding with the full-scale extraction.
Step 3 - Collect and Deliver
Once you approve the sample, we launch the project and start full data collection. We gather, filter, and structure the data for easy use, delivering it on time in your preferred format.
Step 4 - Maintain and Support
Our team manages ongoing processes, monitors website changes, and supports all data extraction cycles. We can also help integrate data into your systems or create dashboards to simplify analysis.
