Tell us the scope - all of ah.nl or chosen departments, the national Bonus, store pages, the Belgian site - and the cadence. We write the crawler, run it on your schedule and fix it whenever Albert Heijn reworks a page template. ah.nl answers automated traffic with bot protection, so proxy rotation, pacing, browser rendering and CAPTCHA handling are included in what you pay for.
Dutch labels stay as the site writes them, with an English field name beside each column. You receive CSV, Excel or JSON by SFTP, Google Drive or e-mail, or a load into your database, with a field guide that explains every Bonus and label column. An MCP server is available on request.
An ah.nl product page is unusually complete for a supermarket: label, nutrition table and supplier address are typed out as text, not left inside photos. Each product lives at an address with a wi code - /producten/product/wi100843/ah-american-hotdogs - and the bottom of the page shows Albert Heijn's own product number next to the GTIN, the barcode printed on the pack. What we extract:
Category listings already show name, price, size and Bonus label on every card, so a full sweep can start from the category tree and open product pages only where label data is needed.
Beyond the single product, three more parts of ah.nl are worth collecting, and repeated runs add a fourth layer.
Albert Heijn traces itself to 1887, when the 21-year-old Albert Heijn took over his father's grocery in Oostzaan. It has grown into a chain of supermarkets across the Netherlands and Belgium, with convenience stores trading as AH to go. The Belgian supermarkets have their own site, ah.be, linked as AH België from ah.nl, with its own Bonus week and Belgian wording - promoties where the Dutch site says aanbiedingen.
ah.nl puts the online shop, the weekly Bonus and the Allerhande recipe pages behind one menu. Prices are public: a visitor sees shelf prices, Bonus labels and full product information without signing in, while favourite lists, past purchases and personal discounts sit behind the login. Bonus offers go with the Bonuskaart, which Albert Heijn made available free to every customer.
The catalogue runs from Producten through departments such as Koek, snoep, chocolade down to narrow leaves like Knakworst. Albert Heijn's own lines - AH, AH Biologisch, AH Terra for plant-based food - and products marked Prijsfavoriet share each shelf with manufacturer brands, which is what makes the site useful for private-label work. Product pages also link to Allerhande recipes that use the item.

Learn MoreLearn how to use web scraping to solve data problems for your organization
If you sell online, run a marketplace, or advise e-commerce clients, you already know why eBay matters: it’s one of the few places where big retailers compete side by side with thousands of small merchants and private sellers.
E-commerce teams do not just need “some” competitor data anymore. They need a continuous stream of real prices, discounts, stock levels, reviews, and seller behavior from the platforms that actually shape their markets.
Amazon provides valuable information gathered in one place: products, reviews, ratings, exclusive offers, news, etc. So scraping data from Amazon will help solve the problems of the time-consuming process of extracting data from e-commerce.
ScrapeIt runs data collection as a service. We build the crawlers, keep them working when a retailer redesigns its pages, and hand over the data with a description of every column. Dutch and Belgian grocery fits that model well: offers that turn over weekly, labels written in Dutch, and product pages dense enough to need a stable schema. Personal data is handled under GDPR and is not part of a grocery feed. Start with a free assessment of your Albert Heijn scope and a sample file.
Yes. The ScrapeIt Albert Heijn API serves the wi code, GTIN, shelf price, price per kilo, Bonus label and Nutri-Score as JSON from an endpoint we host, updated on your schedule. Prefer files? The same rows arrive as CSV, XLSX or JSONLines over SFTP, or go straight into your database.
Yes. Shelf prices, the national Bonus and full product information on ah.nl are open to every visitor without an account, and personal offers behind the login are not collected. We collect only publicly available data - everything a visitor can see on Albert Heijn - and we collect it legally.
The Bonus runs in weeks from Monday to Sunday, and the Bonus page announces when next week's offers appear, so a run early each Monday catches every new Bonus week. Listings also label each offer with when it applies - vandaag or vanaf maandag - and a daily run records both the shelf price and that validity.
Yes. Each run is keyed on the wi code, so shelf price, price per kilo and Bonus label line up product by product over time. Products marked "Uit het assortiment" stay in the history with their last shown price, which dates the moment an item left the range.
Yes. ah.be is collected as a separate source with its own Bonus week, so Dutch and Belgian prices never mix in one column. Store pages give address, phone, opening hours for this week and next, and services, delivered as a table keyed on the store number.
