Formats, schedules and delivery

You describe the scope - a keyword, a category branch, a seller store, a brand or a list of product ids - and we return a product feed in CSV, JSON, XLSX or through an API. Schedules run hourly, daily, weekly or on a one-off basis, and files can be dropped to S3, Google Cloud Storage, an SFTP server, Google Sheets or a webhook.

Every run is checked before it reaches you: field-level validation, row counts against the previous run, and alerts when a category collapses or a price column arrives empty. When Tiki changes a template we fix the crawler; that maintenance is part of the service and not a change order. A free sample of your own categories comes before any commitment, so you can test the schema against your systems first.

A Tiki product page is a commercial record, not a catalogue entry, and that is what a collection has to preserve. We read the public product and listing pages and return one row per SKU per seller per run:

  • Product identity - the product name with its Vietnamese diacritics intact, brand, the numeric product id from the URL, the seller-specific product id where a listing has one, and the category path read from the breadcrumb.
  • Price - the selling price in Vietnamese dong, the crossed-out list price where one is shown, and the discount percentage, each as a clean number with the currency in its own column rather than the string printed on screen.
  • Seller - seller name, the link to that seller's store, whether the offer belongs to Tiki Trading or to a marketplace seller, and whether the store carries the Official Store mark.
  • Trust and service labels - badges shown against the offer, such as hàng chính hãng (genuine branded goods), 30 ngày đổi trả (30-day returns) and the fast-delivery mark giao nhanh 2h (delivery in two hours).
  • Stock availability - whether the offer is buyable at the moment of the crawl, plus the units-sold counter Đã bán (sold) where a listing shows one.
  • Reviews and ratings - the average star rating and the review count, and, when you want the text, individual reviews with star value and date.
  • Variants - each option combination such as colour or capacity as its own row with its own price and availability, so a configurable product never collapses into one line.
  • Content and media - image URLs, the description block and specification rows carrying model, warranty and origin.
  • Promotions - voucher and gift lines, and instalment offers labelled trả góp (pay by instalments).

Anything visible on a page can be added: sponsored placement, position in a category, the seller's own rating, or a search-rank column for a keyword.

Diacritics survive. Product names, category names and reviews are written in Vietnamese with full tone marks, and the site serves them as UTF-8. We keep them that way. Stripping accents turns điện thoại (mobile phone) into a string that matches nothing, breaks every join against your own catalogue and quietly corrupts search-term reporting. Files are delivered UTF-8 encoded so a spreadsheet opens them without mangling.

Dong prices are large integers. A laptop is priced in tens of millions of dong, and the page prints it with dots as thousand separators followed by the dong sign. A parser that reads the printed string will drop or misplace digits. We take the numeric value that sits behind the display, so price, list price and discount arrive as numbers you can sum, and the currency travels in its own column.

The URL is not the name. The slug in a product URL is accent-folded to plain ASCII, so it cannot be used to rebuild the Vietnamese title. The name is taken from the page and the numeric id from the URL, and the two are kept apart.

Anti-bot handling is our side of the job. tiki.vn sits behind an edge that refuses plain automated clients outright. Proxy rotation, CAPTCHA solving, request pacing and adaptive crawling are included in the service, they run on our infrastructure, and you never maintain that layer. We crawl what a logged-out visitor can see and do not sign in to accounts.

Tiki and the two kinds of seller in one catalogue

Tiki is a Vietnamese e-commerce marketplace trading at tiki.vn, and its catalogue holds two kinds of supply side by side. Tiki Trading is the platform's own trading arm: it buys from brands and distributors and resells under its own name. Around it sits an open marketplace of third-party merchants, among them Official Stores - Gian hàng chính hãng, an authorised store - which Tiki grants only to a brand owner, a manufacturer with registered rights, or a first-tier authorised distributor, and only for a single brand.

That split is why Vietnam deserves its own collection rather than a line in a regional job. On a purely open marketplace every offer looks the same and a price list says nothing about who is entitled to sell. On Tiki the offer itself records whether the goods are the platform's own stock, an authorised store's or an ordinary merchant's, and it carries the authenticity vocabulary the Vietnamese market shops by - hàng chính hãng (genuine branded goods) and 100% hàng thật (100% real goods).

The catalogue is organised as a deep category tree, running from a top department such as Điện Thoại & Máy Tính Bảng (phones and tablets) down to the narrow leaf a product is actually listed in, and the breadcrumb on each product page reproduces that path from Trang chủ (home) downwards. Product URLs end in -p plus a numeric product id, so every item has a stable key that outlives a change of name or promotion, and one product can be offered by several sellers at their own price and stock level.

What buyers do with Tiki data

Competitor pricing and price monitoring. Dong prices move on promotion cycles, and a daily series shows what a rival actually charged rather than what a rate card claims. Retailers and brands use a Tiki price feed to watch rivals by SKU, to catch a listing that sits under an agreed floor, and to check that a campaign ran on the days it was booked for.

Assortment and stock. Reading a category tree end to end shows which SKUs are actually on sale in Vietnam, which are new this month, which have gone, and which of your own lines a distributor has quietly stopped listing. Stock availability collected in the same pass becomes an out-of-stock rate per seller and per week.

Brand and channel control. Because the platform separates its own trading arm, authorised stores and ordinary merchants, a brand can count how many marketplace sellers list its products in Vietnam, see what they charge against the authorised price, and find the grey listings that undercut a local distributor.

Voice of the customer. Reviews and ratings in Vietnamese, gathered per SKU and per seller, expose complaints about counterfeits, packaging and delivery long before a support queue does, and they benchmark your rating against the alternatives in the same leaf category.

About ScrapeIt

ScrapeIt is a managed web scraping agency. We build the crawler, run it, watch it and repair it when a site changes, and you receive clean structured data instead of a codebase to look after. Teams come to us for e-commerce price monitoring, assortment tracking and marketplace research across dozens of retail sites, and Tiki is handled the same way: scoped with you, delivered on a schedule, supported by people who answer when a column looks wrong.

FAQ

Does Tiki have a public API for product data?

Not one that a data buyer can use. Tiki publishes an Open API at open.tiki.vn, but it is a seller integration: you authenticate with a seller token key issued by Tiki and it returns your own shop's products, prices, stock and orders. There is no public catalogue API that hands back other sellers' listings, market-wide pricing or competitor assortment. If you need Tiki price and product data across the marketplace rather than for one shop, it has to be collected from the public pages, which is what we do.

Can you tell which listings are sold by Tiki itself?

Yes. Each offer names its seller, so we flag whether it is Tiki Trading, the platform's own trading arm, or a third-party marketplace seller, and whether that seller's store carries the Official Store mark reserved for brand owners and first-tier authorised distributors. That flag sits in its own column, so you can filter a report down to authorised supply or to grey listings in one step.

Will Vietnamese product names come through with the accents?

Yes. The site serves Vietnamese text as UTF-8 and we preserve it exactly, tone marks included, in every format we deliver. We do not strip accents, because an accent-stripped name no longer matches the catalogue it came from. Category names, seller names, badge labels and review text are treated the same way.

How often can you refresh Tiki prices?

As often as the decision needs. Price monitoring on a competitive set is usually daily, and hourly runs are normal during promotion periods; full assortment sweeps of a large category branch are commonly weekly. We size the schedule against the number of SKUs and the pages that have to be walked, then quote it, so the refresh rate is agreed up front rather than discovered later.

Is it a problem that Tiki blocks automated requests?

It is our problem rather than yours. tiki.vn answers plain automated clients with a block at the edge, and handling that - proxy rotation, CAPTCHA solving, sensible pacing and crawl logic that adapts when the site changes - is included in the service and runs on our infrastructure. We collect public product and pricing data only and never customer data, we stay logged out, and we keep request rates modest rather than promising a perfect success rate on every page.

How does it Work?

Step 1 - Make a Request

You share your needs, expectations, and desired timeframe. We’ll suggest the best solution based on your request and budget.

Step 2 - Configuring Custom Web Crawlers

Our specialists configure the crawlers and extract a sample dataset for your review before proceeding with the full-scale extraction.

Step 3 - Collect and Deliver
