RVUSA catalogs by model year and a full feature-tag list per RV model on RVing Planet, rebuilt from its filters, for a returning client.
TrueCar puts a price rating - Excellent, Great, Fair or High - on its used listings. Our TrueCar scraper collects that rating with the price, VIN and mileage behind it.

TrueCar keeps its pages behind a strict anti-bot layer, so it is not a site to point a script at and hope. We run the whole job: you choose the makes, models, years and locations, new or used, and the refresh rate; we build the crawlers, handle the anti-bot layer with pacing, proxy rotation, browser rendering and CAPTCHA handling, and repair the extractors when TrueCar changes its pages.
Because TrueCar reads prices locally - the price rating looks at similar cars in the shopper's area - scope is set as a list of places: Dallas, Los Angeles or whichever cities and states you need. Data arrives as CSV, Excel, JSON or JSONLines, through our API, to Amazon S3 or into your database, with field documentation.
TrueCar is built around price context rather than the listing alone: next to what a dealer asks, it prints how that price compares with what similar cars ask or sell for nearby. Our TrueCar scraper keeps the dealer's number and TrueCar's number in separate columns, keyed by VIN.
Rows carry the collection date and the search they came from, so a Dallas price and a Los Angeles price for the same model never blur into one national number. TrueCar's own figures - Market Average and the price rating - stay labelled as TrueCar's calculations, never merged with the dealer's asking price.

Coverage starts from TrueCar's own searches - make, model, year, body style and trim in a chosen location - for used listings and new inventory alike. Every used car then has a page of its own whose URL carries the VIN, so a coverage plan is the models you track times the places you sell in, and the VIN removes cars that two searches both return.
History comes from repetition. TrueCar's Price Drop filter looks back only 30 days; a scheduled run keyed on VIN keeps the full record instead - the first advertised price, every cut, the moment a rating moves from Fair to Great, and the day the car leaves the listings. For new cars the same run tracks MSRP and the average discount off MSRP per model and trim.
Overview pages add the model level: the Starting TSRP and the Starting Market Average, built from recent transactions, put dealer asks in the context of what buyers paid. The Best Deal sort, which lifts Excellent-priced cars to the top, shows which listings TrueCar itself puts forward in each market.
TrueCar is a US car shopping marketplace that connects buyers with TrueCar Certified Dealers and shows, for each car, how its price compares with the market. It lists new and used dealer inventory and pairs it with a research section: an overview page for each model with a trim chart and reviews from verified owners, and a Comparison Tool that sets two models side by side with MSRP, market average and MPG.
Two measures run through the site. The Market Average is TrueCar's own calculation from recent transactions of other buyers, TrueCar users or not, built from local data where there are enough sales nearby; the overview pages show it as the Starting Market Average next to the Starting TSRP. The price rating compares the asking price with recent listing prices for similar vehicles in the area: Excellent means well below them, Great below, Fair about level and High above. For new cars, the Price Graph shows what others in the area paid for similar vehicles, split into Excellent, Great, Fair and High Price bands.
New car listings work from MSRP and the average discount off it, used ones from the dealer's advertised price, so the two need different columns. Incentives sit on OEM Deals & Incentives pages, which sort manufacturer offers by model into cash offers and special financing.
Delivery: CSV, JSON or XLSX files, our API or a JSON feed. MCP server on request.
Full plan detailsDealers pricing used stock. A rating of Excellent, Great, Fair or High sits next to the price on TrueCar's used listings. Ratings and used car prices for competing stock in a city show where a dealer's cars sit and how far a price must move to change band.
Manufacturers and analysts tracking discounts. Average discounts off MSRP on new listings, and the Starting Market Average against the Starting TSRP on model pages, give a regional read of transaction pressure by model and trim.
Lenders, insurers and fleet buyers. Price by model year, trim and mileage, keyed by VIN, feeds residual value and collateral models.
Accuracy checks. Whether TrueCar prices are accurate for a region is itself a research question. A dataset of asking prices, ratings and market averages over several months answers it with numbers rather than anecdotes.

Learn how to use web scraping to solve data problems for your organization
Twelve US car websites compared as data sources, from Autotrader and CarGurus to Copart, IAA and the RV sites: what each shows, which fields need care - VIN, trim, deal labels, damage codes - and how to merge them into one dataset.
Leveraging advances in technology, the AI-powered web scraper has skyrocketed in demand and is helping to expand capabilities by automating tedious daily tasks and speeding up data collection from thousands of websites several times over.
Web scraping is a method of obtaining web data by extracting it from pages of web resources with the help of a program, that is, in automatic mode. It is used to syntactically convert web pages into more usable forms.
ScrapeIt is a managed scraping service. We take on sites like TrueCar, where the useful numbers sit behind an anti-bot layer and are split by location, build the crawlers, run them on your schedule and hand over the data with documentation. Projects start with a free assessment and a sample. Dealer and VIN data is business data, and any personal details are handled under GDPR. Plans start from EUR 169 a month, or EUR 199 for a one-time extract.

Yes. The ScrapeIt TrueCar API delivers VIN, trim, mileage, advertised price, price rating and MSRP as JSON from an endpoint we host, on whatever refresh schedule you pick. You can also take the same rows as CSV or JSONLines files, a JSON feed or a load into your database.
Yes. Listings with price, mileage, VIN and price rating, and MSRP and market figures on model pages, are public on TrueCar. We collect only publicly available data - everything a visitor can see on TrueCar - and we collect it legally. Owner reviews come with their star ratings, and reviewer names are left out by default.
Yes, for the places you name. We run TrueCar's search for each make, model and location, so coverage is a list of those searches, and the VIN removes duplicates where two areas overlap. A national pull is the same plan with more locations.
Yes. New listings show MSRP and, where a dealer discount applies, the average discount off MSRP, and overview pages add the Starting TSRP and the Starting Market Average for each model year. A weekly run per model shows how discounts move through a model year.
Used prices move fastest: the Price Drop filter shows cars cut in the past 30 days, and ratings shift as nearby listings change, so daily or weekly runs suit used stock. New car discounts move with incentives and model-year changeovers, where a weekly run is usually enough.
You share your needs, expectations, and desired timeframe. We'll suggest the best solution based on your request and budget.
Our specialists configure the crawlers and extract a sample dataset for your review before proceeding with the full-scale extraction.
Once you approve the sample, we launch the project and start full data collection. We gather, filter, and structure the data for easy use, delivering it on time in your preferred format.
Our team manages ongoing processes, monitors website changes, and supports all data extraction cycles. We can also help integrate data into your systems or create dashboards to simplify analysis.
Tell us which sites, which fields and how often. A couple of lines is enough to start.
