Scrape Tapology Data Without Building the Crawler

ScrapeIt runs Tapology data scraping as a managed service. You choose the slice - promotions, regions, sports, divisions or a list of fighter IDs - and we build the collector, host it and repair it when Tapology changes its layout. Tapology screens automated clients, so anti-bot handling, proxy rotation and CAPTCHA solving are part of the job. We extract Tapology data from public pages only and keep Tapology's fighter, bout, event and promotion IDs on every row, so records, cards and rankings join across runs. Delivery is CSV, JSON, XLSX or Parquet to S3, SFTP or your warehouse, or through the ScrapeIt Tapology scraper API, on a cadence from minute-level live events to a one-off backfill of a promotion's history.

Tapology Results, Fight Cards and Bout-Level Detail

Tapology results come in three layers - the event, the bout and the fighter - and we take all three for every card in scope.

  • Event. Name and also-known-as title, date and start time in ET, U.S. broadcast (Paramount+, Vice TV, YouTube, Internet PPV), promotion and ownership, venue, city and country, enclosure (Octagon or ring), region and the number of bouts per sport. Weigh-in results post the day before; cancelled and fizzled bouts stay on the page with the reason, such as a withdrawal or weight cut complications.
  • Tapology fight card. Bout order, billing (Main Event, Co-Main Event, Main Card, Preliminary Card), weight class with the contract weight in lbs and kg, scheduled rounds (5 x 5 in UFC main events, 3 x 3 on many amateur cards), Pro/Am, title bout, the sport or ruleset - MMA, Boxing, Boxing (Bare Knuckle), Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Modified Muay Thai, Boxing (Cage), Modified Grappling - and the status, from Confirmed Upcoming Bout to Event In Progress.
  • Result. Win, loss, draw, no contest or cancelled, the method and detail as Tapology writes it (Decision - Split, Ninja Choke, Doctor Stoppage (Cut), Four Knockdown Rule), time and round, referee, bonuses such as Performance of the Night and disclosed pay where it is published.
  • Tale of the tape. Pro record at fight time, last five fights, UFC ranking and Strength of Schedule on UFC cards, nationality, fighting out of, gym, age at fight, latest weight, height and reach in both units.

Tapology live results move round by round during an event ("Round 2 is complete") next to the moneyline odds, so a feed can run live and then settle into final Tapology fight results. Tapology UFC results, Tapology MMA results and Tapology boxing results share one schema; kickboxing and Muay Thai bouts keep their own methods and round lengths.

Tapology Predictions, Promotions, Gyms and Record Lists

Tapology Predictions, Promotions, Gyms and Record Lists

Tapology fight predictions come from members who pick the winner, the method (KO/TKO, submission or decision) and the round for MMA and boxing bouts. We collect them as aggregates only: Tapology community picks per bout, the share for each fighter, the KO/TKO, submission and decision split, and the Pick'em share printed in each row of a fight record. No usernames, profiles, individual picks or leaderboards.

The Tapology promotions directory, the Combat Sports Promoter Index, lists each promoter with name, acronym and headquarters, from the UFC and ONE Championship to 3 River Throwdown in Onalaska, Wisconsin, and it includes boxing, Muay Thai and grappling promoters. Each promotion page adds ownership and a paginated event list with title fights flagged. Tapology gyms carry location, address and phone, founding year, staff roles, affiliate locations and the roster with records.

The search section keeps ready-made lists: fighters by Tapology weight classes from Atomweight to Super Heavyweight and by nationality, bouts by referee, UFC and WEC fight awards, Contender Series contracts, fastest fights, oddsmaker upsets by promotion and year, and Tapology PPV buys and total attendance per event. Region pages add sub-regions, active fighters, upcoming events and event results.

Tapology Events, Fighters and Promotions Across Combat Sports

A Tapology scraper works on the combat sports database that fighters, managers and promoters use alongside the fans. Tapology calls itself a free resource for MMA, boxing and other combat sports: MMA remains its specialty, and boxing, kickboxing, grappling and Muay Thai now run through the same FightCenter. Results are entered by Tapology's own staff, while fighters, gyms and promoters can claim their pages to update bios and fight cards.

Everything hangs off numeric IDs in the address: /fightcenter/fighters/{id}-{name}, /fightcenter/events/{id}-{event}, /fightcenter/bouts/{id}-{event}-{fighters}, /fightcenter/promotions/1-ultimate-fighting-championship-ufc and /gyms/1-tristar-gym. A bout ID ties two fighter IDs to an event ID, and the event to a promotion ID, so fight cards, records and rankings join without matching names.

The FightCenter filters Tapology upcoming events and results by promotion tier (UFC, Stream/TV, Major Org, Regional), by sport (MMA, Boxing, Kickboxing, Grappling, Muay Thai) and by region: US states and groupings such as New England or Kansas and Missouri, Canadian provinces, Brazil North to Brazil Southeast, the Caucasus and Europe Nordic. That grid, down to amateur bouts on local cards, is where Tapology regional MMA coverage goes further than a pure MMA archive. To scrape Tapology well you pick the slice first: a promotion, a sport, a region or a list of fighter IDs.

Tapology Rankings: UFC, Regional and Amateur Tables

Tapology rankings are computed, not voted. The Tapology UFC rankings system works on points: each of a fighter's last six UFC bouts earns some, the totals are added up and the division is sorted, with the undisputed champion locked at #1 and no fan votes included. It ranks every eligible fighter on the roster, not just a top 15 (a UFC bout in the last 21 months is required), and revised tables usually release on the Monday after a Saturday event. Public pages show the top of each division; every ranked fighter's position also appears on the fighter page and in fight cards, so a weekly capture builds the history.

Tapology regional rankings go deeper still: men's and women's, every weight class, pro and amateur. The rating weighs wins and losses, the opponent's record at the time, recency (bouts older than five years stop counting) and experience, and each region is recalculated about every four days. Regions nest, so one fighter can hold a Pro Middleweight rank in Nevada, US West and North America at once, given at least two of the last six MMA bouts there. Tapology pound for pound rankings run in every region, Alabama to Asia Central.

That is why scouts, matchmakers and regional promoters buy this data: an unbeaten amateur on local cards shows up in a regional table long before a major promotion signs them. Tapology strength of schedule means a number from 1 to 99 for how hard a fighter's last six UFC fights were, so a model can tell a padded record from a hard one, and betting analysts pair the tables with the odds Tapology keeps on past bouts.

Ordering a Tapology Dataset or a Live Fight Feed

ScrapeIt is a managed web scraping agency, not a self-serve tool. You tell us what you need - one promotion's cards, every Tapology regional ranking in North America, or live Tapology odds and results for a fight night - and a named engineer designs the crawl, runs it and watches it through each event weekend. A sample comes first, in your format and schema. The price of a Tapology dataset follows its scope and refresh rate, not the number of pages loaded, and adding a region or a sport later is a configuration change.

FAQ

Do you offer a Tapology API?

Yes. The ScrapeIt Tapology API returns Tapology data as JSON on the schedule you set: events with full fight cards, bout results with method, time and round, fighter records and tale-of-the-tape fields, UFC and regional ranking positions, Strength of Schedule scores and aggregated community picks. Every object keeps Tapology's own fighter, bout, event and promotion IDs, and each delivery also comes as CSV or XLSX files for analysts who work in spreadsheets.

What does a Tapology fighter page include?

The Tapology fighter profile opens with name, nickname and the Tapology MMA record as Win-Loss-Draw, then the current streak, date of birth, height and reach, weight class and last weigh-in, affiliation, head coach, born and fighting out of, disclosed earnings and the last fight. Below sit the UFC ranking where one applies, regional rankings, wins and losses by KO/TKO, submission and decision, a record by promotion and the full fight record, with professional and amateur bouts listed apart. Boxers carry a pro boxing record instead.

Which combat sports and regions does Tapology cover?

MMA is Tapology's specialty, and the FightCenter also lists boxing, kickboxing, grappling and Muay Thai, with bout-level rulesets such as bare knuckle boxing, Modified Muay Thai, Boxing (Cage) and submission-only grappling. Promotions run from the UFC, PFL, ONE Championship, RIZIN, KSW, OKTAGON, BKFC and Zuffa Boxing to LFA, Cage Warriors and local shows. Tapology kickboxing and Tapology Muay Thai bouts keep their own methods, such as the four knockdown rule. Regions cover US states, Canadian provinces, Brazil's regions, Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia and Asia Pacific.

How often are Tapology events and results updated?

Big events get near real-time results, and Tapology adds results for dozens of events around the world every week, while small local shows can arrive later. Weigh-in results appear the day before an event, revised UFC rankings typically land on the Monday after a Saturday card, and each region's rankings are recalculated about every four days. We match that rhythm: minute-level polling while a card is live, a daily pass over the Tapology schedule for new bouts and cancellations, and weekly runs for rankings, promotions and gyms.

Is it legal to scrape Tapology?

We collect only publicly available data - everything a visitor can see on Tapology - and we collect it legally. That covers events, fight cards, results, fighter records, rankings, promotions, gyms and aggregated prediction shares, with no logins and no paywalls. Fighters appear as athletes with their published sporting records; we do not collect member profiles, usernames or individual picks, and any personal data is handled under GDPR.
