We operate the collection end to end. You choose the aisles, the product lists or the whole catalogue, and how often; we build the crawler, schedule it and keep it running as Ocado updates its pages. Ocado renders its listings with scripts, so browser rendering, request pacing, rotating proxies and CAPTCHA handling come with the service.
Prices and offers on ocado.com are visible without an account, which is all we use. Deliveries go out as CSV, XLSX, JSON or XML to Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Dropbox or FTP, or through a JSON feed, on a daily, weekly or on-demand run, and a sample comes first.
An Ocado product address ends in a numeric id - /products/la-espanola-extra-virgin-olive-oil/508803011 - and every row is keyed on it. The listing card already holds most of the commercial picture; the product page adds the label. Fields we deliver:
Rows from category pages and from product pages share the product id, so a catalogue sweep and a deep pass on chosen products join without fuzzy matching.
Ocado's offers are dated and layered, which is why a repeated run is worth more than a snapshot.
Ocado presents itself as the online supermarket: groceries are ordered on ocado.com or in the app and delivered by its own drivers, and the site is operated by Ocado Retail Limited in the UK. Its range has layers. M&S Food is sold online only through Ocado - the home page says so - next to Ocado Own Range, the national brands and a long list of independent labels.
The Browse Shop menu runs from M&S and New & Trending through Fresh & Chilled Food, Food Cupboard, Frozen Food and Beer, Wine & Spirits to Pets, Home & Garden and Clothing & Accessories, with Offers as a section of its own. Category addresses carry a long unique id rather than a readable number, and each category opens into subcategories in a side panel.
Value is one of the three reasons the home page gives for shopping there. The Ocado Price Promise is a price match on a like-for-like shop, and the products it covers carry a Price Promise badge. Smart Pass, Ocado's membership scheme, adds member prices that appear on product cards beside the standard price. Prices, offers and reviews are shown without logging in; entering a postcode tells a shopper which products and delivery options reach their address.

Learn MoreLearn how to use web scraping to solve data problems for your organization
Eleven UK ecommerce websites worth scraping in 2026, from Tesco and Sainsbury's to ASOS, Boots and Gumtree: what each site shows, the fields a data buyer needs, what only it adds and how to merge them into one dataset.
If you sell online, run a marketplace, or advise e-commerce clients, you already know why eBay matters: it’s one of the few places where big retailers compete side by side with thousands of small merchants and private sellers.
E-commerce teams do not just need “some” competitor data anymore. They need a continuous stream of real prices, discounts, stock levels, reviews, and seller behavior from the platforms that actually shape their markets.
ScrapeIt is a team that builds and operates scrapers for clients who need web data on a schedule. Online grocers suit us well: big catalogues, offers with end dates and reviews that keep arriving all reward a crawler that runs reliably for months. For Ocado we agree aisles, fields and cadence in a free project assessment, deliver a sample first and document every column. Reviewer names and other personal details stay out of the files.
Yes. The ScrapeIt Ocado API returns product id, price, previous price, unit price, offer name with its end date and the Smart Pass price as JSON from an endpoint we host, on the refresh schedule you choose. Files work too: CSV, XLSX or JSONLines delivered to Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage, or loaded into your database.
Yes. Ocado shows prices, offers, product information and customer reviews to anyone browsing ocado.com, with no account needed. We collect only publicly available data - everything a visitor can see on Ocado - and we collect it legally, with reviewer names removed.
Yes, and that is the default. Each review comes with its star rating, title, text, Verified purchase flag and submission date, and each product with its average rating and breakdown by star. The name printed after "by" is personal data, so we drop it before delivery.
Offers carry their own end date and new ones keep appearing on the Offers page, so prices move with every promotion. A daily run keyed on the product id records price, previous price, offer name and end date, and over a few weeks that becomes a history showing when each promotion started and stopped.
Yes. M&S products carry the M&S name and have their own M&S section, Ocado Own Range has its section and Ocado-branded names, and every product links to its brand through "Shop all". We add a brand and range column, so the three can be priced against each other category by category.
