Is Postmates the same as Uber Eats? For data, nearly. Store by store the two apps return the same UUID, menu, prices and offers: Erewhon in Silver Lake lists 244 items and McDonald's at 7th/Alameda 227 on both, with not one price apart, and feed cards carry the same Postmates deals, such as $5 off $25+ at The Melt. So is Postmates cheaper than Uber Eats? Not on menu prices, and the Postmates Other fees panel reads word for word like its twin. Postmates area coverage is the same map too: the city index matches page for page.
The Postmates-Uber Eats difference sits in the frame. Exclusives read Only available here instead of Exclusive to Eats, Postmates store pages carry no written reviews while Uber Eats shows dozens, state pages on postmates.com still carry the Uber Eats name in their titles, and the storefront stops at the US and Puerto Rico.
Membership went the same way. The old Postmates Unlimited address now opens the Postmates Uber One page: $9.99 a month or $96 a year for a $0 Delivery Fee on standard delivery within at least 3 miles from participating stores that meet the order minimum, a discounted Service Fee and up to 10% off eligible deliveries and pickup orders; Priority and Long Range delivery can still cost extra. The FAQs on city pages still tell readers to join Postmates Unlimited, and Postmates Cash works like a gift card at checkout.
Postmates is the delivery app founded in San Francisco in 2011 and owned by Uber since 2020. It still runs its own storefront at postmates.com, with its own name and app, but the catalog behind it is Uber's, so a Postmates scraper reads the same store records, menus and prices that Uber Eats serves in the United States. The frame is narrower: one US storefront with no country paths, and an index of Postmates cities that lists 15,788 city pages and 109 regions in late September 2026 - the 50 states, DC and 58 Puerto Rico municipalities, each filed as a region of its own.
Addresses follow a ladder. /city/los-angeles-ca opens a city, /neighborhood/silver-lake-los-angeles-ca narrows it, /category/los-angeles-ca/pizza and /dish/los-angeles-ca/butter-chicken cut it by cuisine and by plate, and /brand-city/los-angeles-ca/mcdonalds gathers one chain with its menu. A store sits at /store/ plus a slug and a 22-character id, the store UUID in base64url form, and the same id opens the same store on Uber Eats.
City pages are thin: twenty stores a page and five pages, so the Postmates Los Angeles page shows 100 of what its own FAQ puts at about 20,000 places delivering there. Depth sits one level down, in a neighborhood page with 80 stores, a chain page with 98 McDonald's branches and a butter chicken dish page with 316 stores.

On 30 September 2026 a Big Mac Meal cost $10.49 at the McDonald's on West Manchester Ave, $12.19 at 7th/Alameda and $13.39 on East 3rd Street, and French Fries ran from $5.19 to $5.99 across ten Los Angeles branches. The SUGARFISH Postmates menu is the counter-example: To-Go Trust Me costs $36 at all seven Los Angeles branches, while the menus run from 37 to 54 items.

Its index lists 15,788 city pages across the 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico, where Postmates Puerto Rico coverage is filed by municipality, 58 of them as regions of their own; Postmates New York lives at /city/new-york-city. There is no Canadian, Mexican or other country storefront on postmates.com. Whether a store serves a given street depends on the delivery point, so we set one per city or ZIP code you name and record which stores are in range.
Menu prices are set by each store, and Postmates fees are named in the Other fees panel on every store page. The Delivery Fee is collected by Uber and is not a gratuity.
