Learn MoreAvis rents a car group, not a model: Compact means a named example or similar. Our Avis scraper records the group, the rate and the station for every search you define.

You describe the question - which stations, which rental lengths, how far ahead, which country sites - and we design the searches that answer it. Avis quotes differ by residency and by site, so the visitor's market is fixed per search and stored with the result, never mixed.
From there the work is ours. We build the crawlers for avis.com and the national sites, run them on your schedule, deal with pacing, rendering, CAPTCHA handling and proxy rotation, and fix the extraction when a page changes. You receive CSV, Excel or JSON files by e-mail, FTP or Google Cloud Storage, a JSON feed, or rows in your database. Runs are one-off, daily, weekly or on demand. We begin with a free assessment of the project, and a sample of real rows is available before you decide.
An Avis row is a quote: one car group at one station for one pair of dates. Around it we add what the site publishes about the station and the car.
Avis Preferred profiles, Wizard numbers, corporate discount codes and existing bookings belong to signed-in customers and are outside the collection.
A single quote answers one question. The value comes from the grid around it and from the pages Avis fills in itself.
Country sites do not share one layout, so each market gets its own extractor and all of them write to one schema.
Avis is the car rental brand of Avis Rent A Car System, part of Avis Budget Group. Its US site is avis.com. European markets run on domains of their own, each with its language and layout - avis.co.uk, avis.de, avis.fr, avis.es, avis.gr - so the same question has to be asked on every site separately.
On avis.com the pages a visitor can read fall into three sets. The reservation form asks for a pick-up location, dates, driver's age and residency and answers with the car groups available. The locations section is a tree from region to country, state, city and station, and every station has a page with its address, hours and services. The vehicles section explains the car groups by type and by make, always as an example model or similar: make, trim and colour are not promised.
Longer rentals are sold differently in each country: a long-term rental page in the United States, a monthly rate in Germany, the Avis Drive discount programme in the UK, and the Switch by Avis subscription in Greece. A dataset that spans countries has to keep these apart.

Learn MoreLearn how to use web scraping to solve data problems for your organization
If you work in travel tech, an OTA, a hotel chain, or at an airport, you are in a price-and-availability arms race. Fares change by the hour, room inventory disappears in minutes, and competitors test new bundles and ancillaries constantly.
Leveraging advances in technology, the AI-powered web scraper has skyrocketed in demand and is helping to expand capabilities by automating tedious daily tasks and speeding up data collection from thousands of websites several times over.
Web scraping is a method of obtaining web data by extracting it from pages of web resources with the help of a program, that is, in automatic mode. It is used to syntactically convert web pages into more usable forms.
ScrapeIt is a web data service: clients describe the dataset and we build, run and repair the crawlers that produce it. Car rental is a search-driven source, so on Avis projects most of our effort goes into the grid - stations, dates, lengths, markets - and into keeping every quote tied to it. We read only what an anonymous visitor is shown. Loyalty profiles and member rates are never opened, and any personal data falls under GDPR.
Yes. The ScrapeIt Avis API returns station, pick-up and drop-off dates, car group, example model, Pay Now and Pay Later rate and currency as JSON from an endpoint we host, at the refresh interval you choose. Files in CSV or XLSX, a JSON feed and direct loads into a database carry the same rows.
Yes. Quotes for a searched station and dates, car groups, station pages and offers are displayed to any visitor who has not signed in. We collect only publicly available data - everything a visitor can see on Avis - and we collect it legally. Preferred accounts and bookings are never accessed.
Yes. The Switch by Avis site in Greece shows each category with an example model, fuel type, doors, transmission and a monthly price including VAT, and we collect every card. Repeated runs show when a category is repriced or a new one appears.
We cover avis.com for the United States and the national sites, among them avis.co.uk, avis.de, avis.fr, avis.es and avis.gr. Quotes are taken on the site of the market you care about with the matching residency, since both change the rate. Each row names its site and currency.
As fresh as the schedule you choose: each quote is stamped with the time of the search, the station, the dates and the car group. Teams watching the coming fortnight usually take daily runs, and seasonal planning works on weekly ones. The station statistics Avis publishes are collected on the same pass.
