Tell us which slice of Mascus you need - a category such as crawler excavators or forwarders, a set of brands, the stock of named dealers, or everything located in a few countries - and the cadence. Our team writes the crawler, schedules it and keeps it alive through Mascus front-end changes, with page rendering, request pacing, a rotating proxy pool and CAPTCHA handling included.
Every local site translates its labels and category paths, so we read the one that fits your market and map each field to a single English schema: the Dutch Bouwjaar and the English Year of manufacture end up in one column, and so do Prijs and Price. A free project assessment comes first, and the delivery arrives with field documentation.
Every Mascus listing shows an eight-character Mascus ID, separate from the short code at the end of the listing address. That ID is what we deduplicate on across local sites and repeat runs.
Some listings also carry an overall condition score on a one-to-five scale. Dealer phone numbers sit behind a click; they are business contacts, and we include them when your project calls for them.

Category and search pages carry the filters that make coverage plannable: continent and country, make, year, price excluding VAT, hours, condition and the Latest ads window - created within 24 hours, three, seven, fourteen or thirty days. Slicing by country and listing age keeps a large branch such as crawler excavators within reach, and the Latest ads filter makes daily increments cheap.
Dealer pages add a second view: one company, its Verified seller badge, its outlets with addresses and everything it has online. Crawling dealers instead of categories gives a stock list per dealer - how many machines, which brands, how long each one stays up.
Repeated runs build a Mascus price history per Mascus ID: first seen, every price change, the currency, and the day the ad disappears, which for a dealer listing is the nearest visible sign of a sale. Auction adverts are a separate stream - their cards read Highest Bid and link to the auction item instead of quoting an asking price - so we flag them rather than mixing them into dealer asking prices.
Mascus has connected sellers and buyers of used construction machinery, farm equipment, trucks and industrial vehicles since 2001. Its clients are professional sellers - dealers, traders and manufacturers - and it is a brand of Ritchie Bros., whose auction items show up in Mascus results as Auction adverts beside dealer stock.
The marketplace runs as 43 websites: mascus.com as the international site plus local domains such as mascus.nl, mascus.de, mascus.co.uk, mascus.fr, mascus.pl, mascus.se and mascus.com.au, a Spanish-language site for South America and an Arabic one. Each translates the category tree and its addresses - agriculture/tractors on the international site is landbouw/tractoren on mascus.nl - and puts local stock first, while the listings behind them come from one shared pool.
The main categories include Agriculture, Trucks and Trailers, Construction Equipment, Forestry Equipment, Grounds Care and Material Handling. Below them the tree goes deep - forwarders, harwarders and feller bunchers in forestry, olive harvesting and wine growing equipment in agriculture, reach trucks and order pickers in material handling - with brand and model pages under each category. Prices show in the dealer's currency without VAT, and a buyer can switch the display to another currency.
Delivery: CSV, JSON or XLSX files, our API or a JSON feed. MCP server on request.
Full plan detailsMascus is where European dealers put used machinery in front of buyers in other countries, so its listings show cross-border supply and asking prices side by side. What buyers of this data do with it:
RVUSA catalogs by model year and a full feature-tag list per RV model on RVing Planet, rebuilt from its filters, for a returning client.
A monthly snapshot of mobile.de for an automotive data company: cars and vans up to 12 years old, delivered in the client's own CSV template.
Weekly and monthly prices of used parts by OE number from rrr.lt and a Scandinavian marketplace, for a car dismantling business.
Learn how to use web scraping to solve data problems for your organization
Leveraging advances in technology, the AI-powered web scraper has skyrocketed in demand and is helping to expand capabilities by automating tedious daily tasks and speeding up data collection from thousands of websites several times over.
Web scraping is a method of obtaining web data by extracting it from pages of web resources with the help of a program, that is, in automatic mode. It is used to syntactically convert web pages into more usable forms.
If you specialize in machine learning, you need to feed large amounts of data to the algorithms. Web scraping is the easiest and the most efficient method of collecting the data from all over the Internet.
ScrapeIt runs data extraction as a managed service for marketplaces and classifieds. A multi-country platform like Mascus brings its own work: translated labels, prices in several currencies, one dealer showing up on several local sites. We normalise all of it into one schema, deliver CSV, Excel or JSONLines by SFTP, Google Cloud Storage or e-mail, and rerun daily, weekly or on demand. Plans start from EUR 169 a month, or EUR 199 for a one-time extract.

Yes. The ScrapeIt Mascus API returns the Mascus ID, brand and model, year, hours, price with currency and the dealer name as JSON from an endpoint we host, updated on your schedule. The same rows also come as CSV or XLSX files, a JSON feed or rows written into your own database, and an MCP server is available on request.
Yes. Listings, prices, dealer pages and category searches are open to every visitor on each Mascus local site. We collect only publicly available data - everything a visitor can see on Mascus - and we collect it legally.
Yes. The local sites share one pool of listings but translate labels and category paths, so we crawl the site that fits your scope and map every field to one schema keyed on the Mascus ID. A machine seen through mascus.de and mascus.nl stays a single row, with a column for the country where it stands.
A listing without a figure gets an empty price and a price-on-request flag, never a zero. Priced listings keep the dealer's own amount and currency, excluding VAT as Mascus shows it, and we can add a converted EUR column so countries compare on one scale.
Daily. Dealers add and remove stock all the time, and Mascus itself lets buyers filter ads created within the last 24 hours. A daily run catches new ads and price changes; a weekly one suits valuation work where a few days of lag do not matter.
You share your needs, expectations, and desired timeframe. We'll suggest the best solution based on your request and budget.
Our specialists configure the crawlers and extract a sample dataset for your review before proceeding with the full-scale extraction.
Once you approve the sample, we launch the project and start full data collection. We gather, filter, and structure the data for easy use, delivering it on time in your preferred format.
Our team manages ongoing processes, monitors website changes, and supports all data extraction cycles. We can also help integrate data into your systems or create dashboards to simplify analysis.
Tell us which sites, which fields and how often. A couple of lines is enough to start.
