A Serie A stats API and files, run and maintained by us

ScrapeIt runs Serie A scraping as a managed service. We extract Serie A data from both editions: the collector walks the calendar matchday by matchday, opens every match centre tab and parses the match PDFs, so fixtures, lineups, events, club and player sheets arrive on one match id. The way to scrape Serie A without gaps follows the league's rhythm: a live pass on match days, a settle pass once the official match report is out a few days later, and a weekly check for new kick-off times. Anti-bot handling, proxy rotation and CAPTCHA solving are part of the service. You receive JSON from our Serie A scraper API, or CSV and XLSX files pushed to S3, SFTP or your warehouse.

Serie A fixtures, results and standings, matchday by matchday

The calendar is organised by matchday: 38 in a 20-club season, each with a date window and a played or fixture status. A match row carries the match id, matchday, kick-off in UTC and in Italian time with its offset, stadium and city, the score, how the game was decided (regular time or penalties, with the shoot-out score in cup ties) and national broadcasters such as DAZN and Sky, which turns the fixture list into Serie A TV listings. The fixtures page prints kick-off in the visitor's own time zone, so both clocks are stored. During play the match header carries status, phase, minute and added time, which is what a Serie A live scores feed polls.

Standings come in overall, home and away views, with position, club, points, played, won, drawn, lost, goals for and against, goal difference and a form trend. Each match centre then splits into tabs, and each tab becomes its own table:

  • Overview. Scorers with minutes and penalty marks, the player of the match, the head-to-head record in this competition, each side's last five results and the highlight clip.
  • Lineups. Formation such as 3-4-2-1, the starting eleven with shirt numbers and pitch positions, the bench, the head coach, and flags for the captain, suspended players and players one booking away from a ban.
  • Events and Commentary. Goals, penalties, cards, substitutions, corners and saved or missed attempts with minute, added time and half; shots and goals add x and y pitch coordinates, and shots an outcome such as on target, blocked or woodwork. Each event keeps one id and a commentary line in English and in Italian.
  • Club statistics. Summary, attack, passes and defense groups plus a Work Rate block: distance covered, sprints, and distance and average speed by band, from walking to sprinting.
  • Player statistics. Match leaders per metric and a full sheet for every player who took the field.
  • Info. Stadium, city and the whole refereeing team, from referee and assistants to fourth official, VAR and assistant VAR, plus three PDFs per match, the match program, match report and lineups, in English and Italian, which we parse into columns.

Serie A results by year: what each era of the archive holds

Serie A results by year: what each era of the archive holds

Every season since 1986/87 has its final table and its rounds. The archive opens with 16 clubs, 30 rounds and Napoli champions on 42 points, two points for a win. What grows over time is the depth of each match:

  • From 1986/87. Score, scorers with minutes, both lineups, substitutions and the referee.
  • Mid 2010s. Formations, cards, the stadium and a few dozen team metrics such as shots, corners and saves.
  • From 2018/19. Team distance covered joins the sheet.
  • 2023/24. Attendance, the six-person refereeing team and close to 190 metrics, but no running data.
  • From 2024/25. Expected goals and maximum speed; the latest seasons carry close to four hundred team metrics.

Up to 2022/23 rounds keep the Italian label Giornata, later ones read Matchday, and a few older matches have no statistics block at all, so coverage is flagged per match rather than assumed.

The cups use the same match model. The Coppa Italia runs from a preliminary round in August through two early rounds, the round of 16, quarter-finals and two-legged semi-finals to a final in May, with shoot-out scores kept. The Supercoppa is a four-club event with semi-finals and a final, staged in Riyadh in its latest edition. Primavera 1 adds youth results and standings.

Serie A data on legaseriea.it: six competitions, two editions

A Serie A scraper built for legaseriea.it reads the league's own record rather than a results aggregator. The site belongs to Lega Serie A and carries six competitions in one menu: Serie A Enilive, Coppa Italia Frecciarossa, the EA Sports FC Supercup (the Supercoppa Italiana), the Primavera 1 youth league, Coppa Italia Primavera and Supercoppa Primavera. Serie B is not part of it. The second division has its own league and its own site, and its clubs appear here only through the Coppa Italia, where Cremonese, Verona and Pisa, relegated in 2025/26, entered the 2026/27 edition in the first round.

The data is published twice. The Italian edition runs on www.legaseriea.it, the English one on en.legaseriea.it, and section paths are translated between them, standings and fixtures included. Match pages share one pattern, /serie-a/match/ plus a 32-character id and a home-vs-away slug, so a single id ties both editions together. Some Italian survives in the English edition: club tabs keep Italian labels, and the statistics hub sits at /serie-a/statistiche, with the player table at /serie-a/statistiche/giocatori.

Clubs live under /team/: a header with founding year, coach and league position, then tabs for fixtures, highlights, palmares and club and stadium facts such as capacity, away-section capacity and the year the ground was built. News and highlight clips are tagged by club, season and match, so a goal clip joins the fixture it came from.

Serie A player stats from the league's own tracking cameras

Most results services stop at goals, cards and possession. The official record goes further because the league measures play itself: twelve calibrated, synchronised cameras set high around each pitch follow the ball and 29 body points on every player in real time. That is where the running data comes from. Per player and per match the sheet holds minutes, expected goals, key passes, duels and touches in the opponents' box next to distance covered in five speed bands, sprints and maximum speed in km/h.

That depth decides who buys it. Club analysts and scouts compare physical load across a squad week to week. Media and data desks build Serie A stats pages and graphics on the league's own figures. Fantasy football products need lineups, minutes and the one-booking-away flag the moment they change. Researchers want xG and running data on one player key across seasons.

The season tables are the other half: clubs and players, grouped as General, Attack, Passes and Defense and filterable by club and role. Filter to one role for Serie A defenders stats, sort a column for Serie A stats leaders, or take the whole sheet, around 450 players with close to 280 metrics each.

How Artificial Intelligence Is Used In Web Scraping

How Artificial Intelligence Is Used In Web Scraping

Leveraging advances in technology, the AI-powered web scraper has skyrocketed in demand and is helping to expand capabilities by automating tedious daily tasks and speeding up data collection from thousands of websites several times over.

What is Web Scraping and What is it Used For?

What is Web Scraping and What is it Used For?

Web scraping is a method of obtaining web data by extracting it from pages of web resources with the help of a program, that is, in automatic mode. It is used to syntactically convert web pages into more usable forms.

Web Scraping for Machine Learning

If you specialize in machine learning, you need to feed large amounts of data to the algorithms. Web scraping is the easiest and the most efficient method of collecting the data from all over the Internet.

Ordering a Serie A dataset: scope, sample and delivery

ScrapeIt is a managed web scraping agency and works as a Serie A data provider for teams that would rather not build a collector. You name the competitions, seasons and depth, from results and standings to running data; we design the pipeline, run the backfill once and keep the season current. A typical order is a Serie A matches dataset plus a Serie A players database on the same ids. The price of a Serie A feed follows scope and refresh rate, not page counts, and you check a sample before committing.

FAQ

Do you offer a Serie A API?

Yes. The ScrapeIt Serie A API returns JSON for the data legaseriea.it shows: fixtures and results by matchday, standings in overall, home and away views, lineups with formations, the event feed with commentary, club and player statistics including xG and running data, referees and squads, all joined on the league's own match, club and player ids. Refresh follows your schedule, from every few minutes on match days to a weekly archive pass, and the same data ships as CSV and XLSX exports.

How far back do Serie A standings and results go?

The season selector covers 41 seasons, from 1986/87 to 2026/27, and each carries its table and full round list, so a Serie A database of results by year runs from Napoli's first title to the latest matchday. The Coppa Italia archive starts in 2000/01 and the Supercoppa in 1988/89. History is collected in one pass, and after that only the current season needs refreshing. Match depth differs by era, from scorers and lineups in the 1980s to tracking sheets today.

When is the Serie A schedule released with kick-off times?

In two steps. The full Serie A schedule of 38 matchdays is out before the season, but each fixture first carries only a date. Exact kick-off times and broadcasters follow in blocks of rounds through the league's numbered official communications, which also publish Sport Judge Decisions and shirt number updates. At the end of September 2026 times were fixed up to Matchday 19, while later fixtures still showed a date and an unknown kick-off flag. So there is no single Serie A schedule release date; a monitor re-reads the calendar and records each change.

What is in the official Serie A match report?

More than the match page shows. The report is a PDF of around ten pages in English and Italian, out a few days after the game. It adds effective playing time (in one Matchday 5 game of 2026/27 the ball was in play for 60 of 98 minutes), possession in 15-minute segments, attempts on target from the penalty box, dribblings, passes into the final third, gained possessions, dangerousity indicators, pass risk and received pressure rankings, and a jog, run and sprint table per player. The match program, out before kick-off, lists each player's career Serie A appearances and goals. We parse both into columns.

Is it legal to scrape Serie A?

We collect only publicly available data - everything a visitor can see on Serie A - and we collect it legally. On legaseriea.it that covers fixtures, results, standings, match centres, statistics tables, club pages, official communications and the match PDFs in both editions. No logins, no paywalls: fan accounts and the clubs' reserved area stay untouched. Player, coach and referee names are kept as the league publishes them, contact details are not collected, and personal data is handled under GDPR.
