ScrapeIt runs Chegg data scraping as a managed service. chegg.com sits behind bot management that challenges automated clients, so anti-bot handling, proxy rotation and CAPTCHA solving are part of the job, along with repairs when templates change. To scrape Chegg at archive depth we walk each subject by year, month, day and page and key every row on the question ID; prices are read storefront by storefront with their currency; the Skills catalog is refreshed whole. We extract Chegg data from public pages only - no logins, no paywalls. After a sample, runs go daily, weekly or monthly as CSV, JSON or XLSX, to S3, SFTP or your warehouse, or through the Chegg scraper API we host.
Each question lives at /homework-help/questions-and-answers/{slug}-q{id}. The slug is built from the question's own words, and the number after q is the Chegg question ID, from a few digits on the oldest records to nine on recent ones. That ID keys every row we deliver.
Subject pages at /homework-help/{area}-{subject}-s{n} add their latest questions, and the /study page adds a Recently asked questions strip. The Q&A Archive goes further: daily pages such as calculus-archive-2016-august-09, paginated, list each question's text with its answer count. Chegg statistics questions, for instance, can be counted day by day under statistics-and-probability-archive, and the same count works for accounting, chemistry or computer science.
Chegg Skills sells workforce training to employers, colleges and government programs, and its catalog at chegg.com/skills/catalog is public. At the end of September 2026 it listed 33 certificate programs, 66 courses and 282 modules across 14 domains, led by Data Analytics, AI, UX/UI and Cybersecurity. Chegg courses are quoted per organization rather than listed at a single price.
A Chegg scraper today works on a leaner site than the one students knew. Chegg, Inc. (NYSE: CHGG) now calls itself a learning and employability platform, and chegg.com rests on two public layers - the Chegg Study question pages and the Chegg Skills catalog of workforce programs - with Chegg Study, the Chegg Study Pack and Chegg Writing sold on top as subscriptions. Chegg advertises more than 100 million solutions and over 85 million step-by-step explanations behind the paywall.
The textbook store has changed hands. Chegg's annual report for 2025 says print textbooks and eTextbooks are no longer provided. Book search at chegg.com/books still takes an ISBN, a title or an author's name, then sends the shopper to Valore, the marketplace that now rents, sells and buys back books for Chegg. Old /textbooks/ addresses, which carry the ISBN-13 and ISBN-10 in the slug, redirect to the Valore page for the same ISBN, and the ISBN-keyed textbook solutions pages no longer resolve.
The question archive is what remains, and it still grows. Every question has its own page and numeric ID, the questions and answers index opens on five areas - Business, Engineering, Math, Science and Social Sciences - that lead down to subjects such as Electrical Engineering or Statistics and Probability, and each subject keeps a Q&A Archive by year, month and day that reaches back to 2005 in the oldest subjects. In October 2025 Chegg announced that new questions would be answered by AI, with nearly 120 million archived expert answers kept for subscribers.
