White Cap is a script-heavy storefront: prices and stock counts load after the page does, and the stock figures follow the branch and delivery ZIP code in the header. Collecting it means rendering each page, setting that context and waiting for the numbers - work we take on in full. You name the categories, brands or SKU list, the branches or ZIP codes and the refresh schedule; we build the crawlers, run them, and fix them when the layout shifts.
Rendering, pacing, proxy rotation and CAPTCHA handling are included. We read the site as a guest, so the dataset carries the list price and never the price a trade account sees after signing in. You get a free assessment of the project first and can order a sample before committing to a schedule.
White Cap gives every product two numbers of its own. SKU# is the distributor's code and closes the product address; MFG# is the manufacturer's part number, the one that lets you match the row to any other seller of the same item. Both come in every record.
Listing cards do not always print a price, so we read it on the product page and deliver one row per SKU with everything above.
The product page is where the detail sits; coverage comes from the layers around it.
White Cap is a distributor of construction supplies for professional contractors. In its own words it is a one-stop shop for concrete accessories and chemicals, tools and equipment, building materials and fasteners, erosion and waterproofing products and safety gear, serving non-residential, infrastructure and residential work. It sells through branches and through whitecap.com; Canadian customers are pointed to a separate site.
The storefront is built around the jobsite. The header holds a branch and a Deliver to ZIP code, and both stock figures on a product follow them: how many units are ready to deliver to that ZIP and how many can be bought at a branch, named with its number. The search box takes a name, a brand or a SKU. Beside the catalogue the site offers services that say a lot about its customers - rebar fabrication, forming and shoring rental, tilt-up rental, jobsite delivery.
Prices come in two layers. A guest sees a list price with its unit and a button that reads Sign In to See Your Price; a contractor with a business account sees its own pricing after signing in. Only the first layer is public, and it is the only one this page describes. For a buyer of data the useful consequence is that the list price is not tied to an account, which makes it a steady reference to follow over time.

Full plan details →White Cap keeps Request Quote in its main menu, and much of construction supply is priced that way. That is exactly why a public list price is valuable: it is the one number everybody can see.

If you sell online, run a marketplace, or advise e-commerce clients, you already know why eBay matters: it’s one of the few places where big retailers compete side by side with thousands of small merchants and private sellers.
E-commerce teams do not just need “some” competitor data anymore. They need a continuous stream of real prices, discounts, stock levels, reviews, and seller behavior from the platforms that actually shape their markets.
Amazon provides valuable information gathered in one place: products, reviews, ratings, exclusive offers, news, etc. So scraping data from Amazon will help solve the problems of the time-consuming process of extracting data from e-commerce.
ScrapeIt builds and operates crawlers for companies that need another site's catalogue as a table. Trade distributors such as White Cap are familiar ground: a public list price beside account pricing we do not touch, stock that depends on a branch and a ZIP code, and part numbers that have to match the manufacturer's.
We document every field, deliver one-off extracts or scheduled feeds over SFTP, Amazon S3 or e-mail, and say so when a value is not printed on the page instead of filling the gap.
Yes. The ScrapeIt White Cap API returns SKU, MFG number, brand, unit list price, unit of measure and the delivery and branch quantities as JSON from an endpoint we host, refreshed on the schedule you set. The same rows can also arrive as CSV or Excel files, as a JSON feed, or loaded into your database.
Yes. Product pages, list prices, stock counts and branch pages open to any visitor without an account. We collect only publicly available data - everything a visitor can see on White Cap - and we collect it legally. Prices shown after sign-in are outside the scope of every project.
Yes. Name the departments, brand pages or a list of SKUs, and we return one row per product with the list price, its unit and the current stock figures. Delivery is a file or a feed on your schedule, with the same columns every time.
No. Account pricing appears only after a customer signs in, and we never sign in. The dataset holds the list price a guest sees, and a product whose page prints no figure is delivered with the price left empty.
They do. White Cap shows a quantity ready to deliver to the ZIP code in the header and a quantity available at a named branch near it, so the same SKU reads differently from two locations. Tell us which branches and ZIP codes to use, and each record is stamped with them.
