Learn MoreOn Kroger a product has no single price: it depends on the store the visitor has picked. Our Kroger scraper reads prices, promotions and availability store by store.

Kroger shows a price only in the context of a store, so a project starts with geography: the ZIP codes, cities or individual stores you care about, then the departments, brands or UPC lists to read in each of them. We write the crawlers, operate them and fix them when the site changes. kroger.com is built for shoppers in the United States and screens automated visits, so US proxy rotation, pacing, rendering and CAPTCHA handling are included in the service.
Runs are one-off or scheduled - daily, weekly, or timed to the weekly ad. Every row names the store it was read for, and field documentation accompanies the files. They arrive as CSV, Excel or JSON by SFTP, Amazon S3 or e-mail; a JSON feed and our hosted API are the alternatives.
A Kroger product address ends in a 13-digit UPC, and the same code opens the same item on the Ralphs, King Soopers and Fred Meyer sites. That makes the UPC the natural key of a Kroger dataset, with the store as the second half of every row.
Department and search pages carry the same product cards, so the product catalog of one store can be read from the department tree, from keywords or from a UPC list you supply.
One product page is one price at one store. The value of Kroger data appears when the same UPC list is read across many stores: stores whose prices agree outline a pricing zone, and the ones that differ can show where pricing follows local competition. A grid of stores by UPCs is the usual shape of the delivery.
The banners widen that grid. Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, QFC, Mariano's, Pick 'n Save and their sister chains run separate sites on one page structure and one UPC address scheme, so a single crawler design covers the whole family and a banner becomes a column, not a separate project.
Time is the third axis. The weekly ad is renewed at midnight Eastern on Wednesday - on Thursday for stores in most of Indiana, Illinois and Eastern Missouri - so a run placed after the switch captures each new promotion week. Kept run after run, those readings show when every promotion started and ended.
The store finder supplies the reference table: store locations with address, opening hours and services such as pharmacy and fuel center.
Kroger was founded in Cincinnati in 1883 and is still headquartered there. The company runs its supermarkets under a family of banners: Kroger itself, then Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Fry's, Smith's, QFC, Dillons, Harris Teeter, Pick 'n Save, Mariano's and more. Each banner has its own website, yet they share one shop design, so a product page exists in parallel on several domains.
kroger.com is organised into departments, brand pages, a search, a store finder and a weekly ad. Its prices belong to a store, not to the chain: a visitor picks a store, and from then on prices, promotions, aisle numbers and availability are that store's. Kroger itself says that the price of a product at one preferred store may differ from the price at another. Orders are then fulfilled from that store as Pickup or Delivery.
Own-brand lines run through every department - Kroger Brand, Simple Truth and Private Selection among them. The personal layer sits in accounts: loaded digital coupons, fuel points, shopping lists and past orders. We never log in, so none of that is collected; product pages, department listings and store pages are public.

Full plan details →Grocery pricing is local, and Kroger is one of the places where the local price of a national brand can be read store by store without visiting a single one.
All of it rests on three columns - UPC, store and date - which is why we fix them with you before the first run.

If you sell online, run a marketplace, or advise e-commerce clients, you already know why eBay matters: it’s one of the few places where big retailers compete side by side with thousands of small merchants and private sellers.
E-commerce teams do not just need “some” competitor data anymore. They need a continuous stream of real prices, discounts, stock levels, reviews, and seller behavior from the platforms that actually shape their markets.
Amazon provides valuable information gathered in one place: products, reviews, ratings, exclusive offers, news, etc. So scraping data from Amazon will help solve the problems of the time-consuming process of extracting data from e-commerce.
ScrapeIt is a web scraping agency that works on a managed basis. Grocery sites are a category of their own for us: the catalogue is ordinary, but every price belongs to a store, so the crawl is planned as stores times products before a single page is read. For Kroger we agree that plan with you, then build, run and repair the crawlers behind it. The project assessment is free, and a sample is available before any commitment. Plans start from EUR 169 a month, or EUR 199 for a one-time extract.
Yes. The ScrapeIt Kroger API returns UPC, product name, current and regular price, promotion text, aisle and availability for each store you select as JSON from an endpoint we host, refreshed on the schedule you set. The same rows can also arrive as CSV or Excel files over SFTP or Amazon S3, or as a load into your database.
Yes. Product pages, department listings, store pages and the prices Kroger shows for a chosen store can be opened by anyone, no account needed. We collect only publicly available data - everything a visitor can see on Kroger - and we collect it legally.
Regular prices move store by store, and promotions follow the weekly ad, which Kroger renews in the middle of the week. A sensible plan combines a full run after each ad switch with a lighter daily run for key items. Every row keeps its read date, so a week-over-week change is a simple comparison.
Yes. Kroger shows today's price only, so history comes from repetition: we read the same UPC list for the same stores on your schedule and keep each reading. After a few weeks you hold price, promotion and availability by UPC, store and date.
Yes. The banner sites share Kroger's page structure and use the same UPC in the product address, so one project can read Kroger, Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers and other banners together. Each row names its banner and store, which turns a cross-banner comparison into a filter in your spreadsheet.
